All mail sent to an inmate at the Kings County Jail must include the sender's name and mailing address in the top left corner of the envelope or postcard. Failure to include your return address will most likely result in your mail NOT being delivered and your letter destroyed.

Phone Calls

The Kings County Jail uses the phone services provided by Combined Public Communications (CPC). There are two options. You can either direct pay or purchase a prepaid calling card.

1. Direct Pay

When using the direct pay option, you can call anytime to one number of your choice. You will sign up in the kiosk in the lobby of the jail, or you can call 718-802-3543.

Visiting Rules

Call 718-802-3543 to schedule a visitation. All visitations are behind glass visits.

Each inmate is allowed one or two visits, ranging from 15 minutes to one hour in length each week. Inmates with special privileges are allowed additional visits.

Appointments for weekdays must be scheduled on the same day of the appointment. To schedule a visitation appointment that will meet on the weekend, please call the Friday before. Calls will not accepted before 7:30 am.

Inmates are allowed one visit per week.

Visitors must have a Photo I.D. unless under the age of 18.

Each inmate is allowed 2 adult visitors and up to 3 children (under 18 is considered a child)

Please be sure to be on time for your scheduled appointment.

Lewd behavior or inappropriate dress will not be permitted. You will be asked to leave and you will not be allowed to visit in the future.

Do not bring in anything. Soft drinks and snacks may be purchased in lobby.

Dress Code

The Kings County Jail staff will turn anyone away who is not dressed appropriately for a visit.

Wear clothes that are not revealing.

Don't wear see-through material.

Have all undergarments covered (males and females) and avoid a lot of cleavage.

Shorts and skirts should reach mid-thigh.

Sleeves should be at least half-way to your elbow.

Clothing promoting gang affiliation is prohibited.

Anything displaying drugs, weapons or profanity is prohibited.

Clothing depicting anything obscene is prohibited.
