Sending a Mail

Mail that contains prohibited or fails to include the person in jail’s name, gallery, and housing unit will be returned to the sender. It typically takes several weeks for mail to be returned.

Commissary account
In person at kiosk: Deposit money in person 24 hours a day, seven days a week using on-site kiosks at both Grant County Work Release Center, 35 C Street Northwest PO Box 37, Ephrata, WA, 98823. You must have a valid driver’s license or state ID.
By telephone: To deposit money for a person in Grant County Work Release Center , call 509-754-2011 ext 468 box 26 and use site ID.
By US mail: You can deposit money by mailing a prepaid money order, other accredited prepaid money order, or US government check to the jail where the individual is housed.
Make money orders payable to Grant County Work Release Center Commissary. The inmate’s name (the same one used when processed into jail), cell housing number, date of birth, and gallery number must appear on the money order. Money orders without the necessary information will be returned. Do not send cash, personal and payroll checks, or credit card numbers by mail.

Visiting Rules
If you want to visit an inmate, you must schedule the visit one day before the desired visit day. You can schedule both individual and family visits.
The appointment scheduling line is open from 10:30 AM, seven days a week, until all available appointments are booked or 3:30 PM, whichever comes first.
