Utah Inmate Search

The Utah Department of Corrections has a mission of ensuring public safety by effectively managing offenders while maintaining close collaboration with partner agencies and the community. The department also seeks to provide opportunities for offenders to make changes through accountability, treatment, education and positive reinforcement in a safe environment.

The Utah DOC website offers an inmate locator database search where basic information can be found about inmates. One can lookup an inmate by entering their offender number or their first and last names. The instructions indicate that first and last names are required for a search, but if partial parts of either name is entered, results will be given that contain the entry.  For a more detailed record, one can write Utah Department of Corrections, Records Bureau, 14717 S.
