Inmate Search

To find an inmate in Lincoln County Jail, use the website’s online inmate database search. You can narrow search results by the inmate’s name or booking number. The inmate’s booking date range can also be specified.

Sending a Mail

Inmates are allowed to send letters written on plain paper. Do not include any other items in the envelope, including craft items like glue, tape or glitter, newspaper clippings, money, etc. Inmates are not allowed to receive packages.

Sending Money

There are several ways to send funds to an inmate in Lincoln County Jail. For any of them, be sure to have the inmate’s full name and identification number (ID number), which can be found on the inmate database.

One way is to send funds online through JPay. You will also need the inmate’s ID number and last name. Allow 24 hours for funds to reach the inmate. Fees to transfer funds this way start at $3.50 for up to $20 transferred and raise with the amount of money that you transfer.

You can also call 800-574-5729 to deposit funds with a credit/debit card over the phone. Alternatively, you can visit a MoneyGram location to send funds.

Phone Calls

Family and friends can receive calls from inmates by accepting collect calls or by setting up a prepaid account. Inmates must have funds in their account to place calls. Rates vary, from $0.13 per minute for local calls to $0.75 per minute for international calls.

Visiting Rules

When visiting an inmate, be aware that there are guidelines in place to make sure visits are safe and productive. Upon arriving, you will check in and who photo identification (ID card, passport, military ID card, etc.) Visitors may be subjected to a security screening.

Inmates must provide a list of names that they wish to have as visitors, and only those people can schedule a visit. Visits must be scheduled more than 24 hours in advance.

Do not bring anything with you besides car keys and identification. This includes cell phones, purses, wallets, etc.

Dress appropriately. Clothing must not be revealing, see-through, or too tight. Do not wear sleepwear, clothing containing images/words that are crude or explicit, swimwear, or anything too short or revealing.

How Often Can I Visit?

Normally, an inmate is allowed three separate 25-minute visits in a week. Up to two adults can visit at one time, plus children of the inmate.
