1.) To be eligible you must be an approved visitor, listed on the inmate’s visitor list.
2.) Approved visitors must fill out a Public Visitation Information form. This form may be obtained by the Corrections window along with a list of visitation rules, visitation schedule, and instructions for scheduling visits online at our website from a personal computer.
3.) Visitation is by appointment only. Visits can be scheduled up to one week in advance but no less than 24 hours in advance.
4.) If you are unable to schedule your own visits online, visits can be scheduled by contacting 419-586-5753 Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.
5.) All visitors must properly identify themselves upon arriving at the jail lobby. Visitors must have a photo ID.
6.) All visits are monitored and are subject to recording.
7.) Visits will be prompt and on time, there is no grace period.
8.) Visitors must arrive early enough for the screening process through the metal detector prior to the visit. Your visit will not be extended if the screening process runs into your visiting time.
9.) All visitors must be signed in on the visitation register each week.
10.) Visitors appearing to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to visit.
11.) Proper attire is required at all times. Shoes and shirts must be worn; suggestive clothing, see-through fabrics, halter or tube type tops, short shorts and miniskirts will not be permitted. Appropriate underclothing is required.
12.) Visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (the parent or legal guardian must be listed on the inmates list.) The parent or legal guardian of a minor must provide or show a birth certificate of the minor at the time of the visit. A waiver must be signed by the parent or guardian on the minor’s first visit.
13.) Wallet, car keys, and photo id, and birth certificate only may be taken into the lobby. No other personal effects such as purses, cell phones, satchels, diaper bags, smoking materials, chewing gum etc. are allowed.
14.) Visitors with small children will be permitted to retain one baby bottle, one diaper, and one blanket per child.
15.) Smoking, eating, and drinking are prohibited inside the jail lobby.
16.) Loud talking, excessive emotionalism, or any other type of disruptive behavior will not be permitted in the lobby.
17.) If you experience a problem with the audio or video reception during your visit, notify the jail staff immediately. Do not attempt to adjust the picture or sound yourself.
18.) All visitors are subject to search.
