New York Department of Corrections and Community Supervision

The New York Department of Corrections and Community Supervision seeks to improve public safety by providing appropriate treatment services in safe and secure facilities where all inmates’ needs are addressed, and they are prepared for release, followed by supportive services under community supervision for a successful completion of their sentence.

The New York DOCCS website hosts an inmate search function where one can look up an inmate incarcerated since 1970 by their DIN or NYSID number. Alternatively, inmates can be searched for by their last name (or a partial part), and results can be narrowed by also entering their first name or birth year.

The New York City Department of Corrections is dedicated to enhancing public safety by maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff while providing inmates with the tools and opportunities they need to successfully re-enter their communities.

The NYC DOC website contains an inmate lookup search function where one can enter an inmate’s NYSID or booking/case number OR their first/last name (or partial parts) to locate an inmate. Inmates released more than thirty dates from a search will not be displayed.
