Before you will be permitted to visit an inmate, the inmate will be required when they go through the admissions phase of booking to give a list of people who he or she wants to visit while they are at the New Brunswick City Jail. The New Brunswick City Jail has its visitation set up based solely on the inmates last name. The current schedule is 6 pm to 7 pm on the following days:

Inmates with the last name starting from A to L will have visitation on Tuesdays.

Inmates with the last name starting from M to Z will have visitation on Thursdays.
Inmates will be allowed to have 2 visitors every calendar week. All visitors coming to the New Brunswick City Jail will be required to have the proper identification on them. Visitors will also have to undergo a search prior to being let into the facility.
If you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, you will not be permitted into the facility. If you have been released from the New Brunswick City Jail within the last 30 rolling days, you will also not be permitted to visit an inmate.
