Michigan Inmate Search

The Michigan Department of Corrections (DOC) has a mission to create a safer Michigan by holding offenders accountable while promoting their success. Their vision is to remain committed to the protection of the public, safety of our staff and security of offenders.
The Michigan DOC website offers an Offender Tracking Information System (OTIS) where one can look up information about prisoners, parolees, and probationers who are in custody or within three years of discharge and under supervision.
An offender search can be conducted using the offender’s MDOC number or their first/last name (or partials parts). Search criteria can be narrowed by entering the offender’s age, sex, or race.
The Michigan DOC cannot guarantee that all information presented is completely accurate and information should be checked by calling the department.
