Programs
The Carroll County Detention Center provides food services, medical services, mental health services, and recreation to inmates. In addition, visitation, an education program, substance abuse treatment, religious services, library services, trustee programs, and home detention are also provided to its inmates.
Carroll County Jail also offers programs such as work release and a Trustee program. Work release allows inmates to maintain or obtain employment in the community, while still serving their sentences. The Trustee program allows inmates to work in the jail community, such as in the kitchen or doing maintenance.

Visiting Rules
Inmates at Carroll County Detention Center have the opportunity to visit with friends and family twice per week for one hour each day via the Securus video visitation system.
This high-tech system of communication will still allow the visitor and the inmate to see each other and to communicate, while increasing the safety of the visitors and the security of the jail.

All visiting minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and present either an original or certified copy of the juvenile’s birth certificate from “The Department of Vital Statistics,” that shows the names of the parents.
Certificates of birth from a hospital and birth certificates stamped “Not a Certified Copy,” or that lack the raised seal, are not considered proper identification. No photocopies will be allowed
Note: Before entering the secure area of Carroll County Detention Center, all visitors must remove their watches and jewelry. The only possession the visitor may take into the secure area of a facility is their identification and keys.
