To find an inmate at Cook County Jail - Division II & III Annex, check the Cook County Sheriff website where there is a database that is updated twice hourly. Click on the first letter of an inmate’s last name, which will bring you to a search bar to also conduct a search with the inmate’s booking number. You can also fill in the inmate’s full name to conduct a search.

Sending a Mail

Inmates are allowed to receive mail in the form of letters and photographs. Letters and photographs must not contain sexually explicit or violent content, as well as code or anything alluding to a method of escape.

Sending Money

Family and friends have to options for depositing funds into an inmate’s account. They can be submitted at a kiosk in the jail lobby with a debit/credit card. Alternatively, funds can be mailed in the form of cash, a cashier’s check or a money order. Mail funds to:

Phone Calls

While inmates at the Cook County Jail - Division II & III Annex are not allowed to receive phone calls, they can make calls to family and friends. Calls are either collect or prepaid with Pay Tel. Inmates must have funds to place a call, and to receive a call you must either pay collect fees or create a Pay Tel account for prepaid calls.

Call durations are 20 minutes at a time.

Visiting Rules

Visitation in the Cook County Jail - Division II & III Annex is encouraged, although it is considered a privilege that can be revoked or changed at any time.

Visitors should arrive 15 minutes before the visit.

Visitors should not bring anything into the visit with them besides a set of car keys. This includes food, drink, gum, baby strollers, and baby bags.

Clothing must be appropriate and modest, with nothing see-through or revealing. Crude and obscene language/images should not be depicted on t-shirts. Shoes and undergarments must be worn.

How Often Can I Visit?

Each prisoner in Cook County Jail - Division II & III Annex is allowed one visit a week with up to 3 visitors per visit.
