Please do not send anything to the Manteno Jail. By the time it gets there the inmate would have either been released or the inmate would have been transferred off to the Kankakee County Jail.

Sending Money

Again, same with sending money to the Manteno Jail. The Manteno Jail is a short-term facility. Inmates in the Manteno Jail do not have the privilege of getting or needing money while they are here.

Phone Calls

The one and only privilege inmates will have in the Manteno Jail will be access to a telephone in their jail cell.

Every cell in the Manteno Jail has a telephone in it. Inmates will be permitted to use that telephone at their direction.

Inmates will only be able to make collect calls. So, if you and your family does not have access to a landline, or the inmate does not know the landline number, you will never receive the calls. Collect calls do not work on a cell phone, unfortunately.
