Inmate Search

To find out about an inmate, one can call 706-295-6035 between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. (Central Time). Have the inmate’s name, country of origin, date of birth, and any aliases they may use available to obtain information.

Sending a Mail

While exchanging letters is encouraged between inmates and family/friends, there are some regulations that must be kept in mind. All incoming mail is searched for contraband. Mail sent by loved ones should contain no more than a few sheets of plain paper and basic printed photos.

Inmates are allowed to send mail, but they must buy postage stamps (although the government may cover some postage for inmates who do not have any funds).

The only packages that can be sent to inmates are pre-approved by the Bob Richards Regional Youth Detention Center (RYDC) Supervisory Deportation Officer may only contain luggage for detainees who are being deported from the United States. No electronic items, razors or weapons should be included. Write to the facility address (below) to obtain permission to send a package.

Sending Money

While it is cautioned that cash not be sent through the mail, any cash, checks or money orders that are sent to a detainee will be processed and placed into the inmate’s account.
