Inmate Search
To find out about an inmate, one can call 229-430-4167 between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. (Central Time). Have the inmate’s name, country of origin, date of birth, and any aliases they may use available to obtain information.
Sending a Mail
While exchanging letters is encouraged between inmates and family/friends, there are some regulations that must be kept in mind. All incoming mail is searched for contraband. Mail sent by loved ones should contain no more than a few sheets of plain paper and basic printed photos.
Inmates are allowed to send mail, but they must buy postage stamps (although the government may cover some postage for inmates who do not have any funds).
The only packages that can be sent to inmates are pre-approved by the Albany Regional Youth Detention Center (RYDC) Supervisory Deportation Officer may only contain luggage for detainees who are being deported from the United States. No electronic items, razors or weapons should be included. Write to the facility address (below) to obtain permission to send a package.

Sending Money
While it is cautioned that cash not be sent through the mail, any cash, checks or money orders that are sent to a detainee will be processed and placed into the inmate’s account. The inmate in Albany Regional Youth Detention Center (RYDC) will receive a receipt for all deposited funds. Family/friends can follow instructions for sending mail to send money.

Visiting Rules
Detainees of all ICE facilities are allowed visitors Monday–Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays/Sundays/Holidays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. For further information about a specific inmate’s visiting schedule, call 229-430-4167.
All visitors must present a valid, government-issued identification card to enter the facility. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Visits are non-contact, and visitors are not allowed to bring any items into the visit, including cell phones. All visitors at Albany Regional Youth Detention Center (RYDC) are subject to being searched and will be turned away if intoxicated or carrying any weapons.
