Sending a Mail

With the Key West Jail being strictly a short-term facility, inmates in the Key West Jail will not receive this privilege.

Sending a letter or a care package to an inmate is strictly for facilities that keep their inmates longer than 72 hours (3 days).

If you send an inmate in the Key West Jail a letter or a package, the letter or package will either be disposed of, refused, or sent directly back to you.

Please do not send anything to the Key West Jail. By the time it gets there the inmate would have either been released or the inmate would have been transferred off to the Monroe County Jail.

Sending Money

Phone Calls

The one and only privilege inmates will have in the Key West Jail will be access to a telephone in their jail cell.

Every cell in the Key West Jail has a telephone in it. Inmates will be permitted to use that telephone at their direction.

Inmates will only be able to make collect calls. So, if you and your family does not have access to a landline, or the inmate does not know the landline number, you will never receive the calls. Collect calls do not work on a cell phone, unfortunately.
