Sending Money
If you wish to provide money to someone currently incarcerated, mail a money order in the person’s name to the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention 's address.
Money may be deposited into inmates’ accounts via the automated Kiosk in the jail lobby. At this time, the kiosk accepts CASH ONLY. There is a fee of $2.50 per transaction. The kiosk is available for use 24/7
Phone Calls
Inmates booked into the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention have access to payphones managed by Paytel Communications from 10:00am to 10:00pm. No incoming calls are allowed.
If you have problems receiving calls from the Jail, contact Paytel at 1.800.729.8355.
You can get a local number your inmate can call that will ring your phone and/or those of other family and friends.
An inmate can then make their calls using the local number rate while talking to friends and family long distance.
Visiting Rules
Visitation is currently held Monday through Friday.
Visitors must be on the inmate’s requested visitation sheet and have a valid state issued ID (minors excluded) or a valid United States Passport. Visits are held in a small room that has about five telephones, which inmates and visitors talk into and see each other through a glass window. All visitations are monitored by staff.
