Inmate Search

The Satsuma Jail is only a temporary, short-term facility for inmates. If you know or believe someone you know is currently being housed in the Satsuma Jail, you will need to contact the facility directly. It is best that you know the inmate's full name along with their date of birth.

Sending a Mail

The Satsuma Jail will allow inmates to receive letters from their loved ones back home. These letters will be monitored and examined by a staff member employed by the Satsuma Jail.

The Satsuma Jail has the right to refuse, dispose of, or return any letter that does not follow their strict guidelines.

Ensure you do not use any of the following:

  • Usage of Crayons

  • Drawings

  • Usage of Colored Pencils

  • Staples

  • Do Not Send Stamps, Paper, or Envelopes

  • Glitter

  • Glue

  • Sticks

Keep all letters PG-friendly as they will have a better chance of being accepted and given to the inmate.

Sending Money

Inmates in the Satsuma Jail will not really need money since at most they will be in the facility a month or two. But if they request you to send them funds, you can go down to the Satsuma Jail with a money order.

Phone Calls

All outgoing phone calls from the Satsuma Jail will be strictly collect calls. Collect calls will be the receiver's responsibility to pay for them. You will only get the collect call, if you have a landline phone and not a cell phone.

All calls from the Satsuma Jail are limited to 15-minutes.

Visiting Rules

If you would like to visit an inmate here at the Satsuma Jail, you will need to contact the facility. The facility has not put up their visitation hours, if any.

The best thing you can possibly do, since the Satsuma Jail is temporary and very, very short-term holding pen for many of these inmates is to contact the facility and see if the inmate is currently in jail or out in the courthouse and if you can visit them.
